Trick or treat!!!....vintage style!

Helfyre

I've searched for some vintage Halloween costumes and....honestly, some of them kinda spooked me out! They looked so real! And others are so terribly cute!

These four pictures were found via wackyowl

The next couple of photos actually made me feel like I was in a horror movie! I don't know the exact period when the photos were taken but by the looks of it they are pretty old...

 In love with these two pattern prints for costumes! They are hilarious and totally cute!I'd go for the kitty costume.

I have also found a couple of vintage Halloween postcards that I liked and most of them picture a black kitty! Like my baby Shiloh!

and black cats are seen,

'tis near Halloween.

5 days until Halloween!

Here in Romania we don't celebrate Halloween like other nations do and especially Americans. But I would definitely love to see what its like to dress up in a costume and go trick-or-treating! So these 5 days until Halloween I will post different things related to this subject.
First thing....its history!
-origin of the name:The word Halloween is first attested in the 16th century and represents a Scottish variant of the fuller All-Hallows-Even ("evening"), that is, the night before All Hallows Day;
-symbols: the carving of jack-o'-lanterns springs from the souling custom of carving turnips into lanterns as a way of remembering the souls held in purgatory. The turnip has traditionally been used in Ireland and Scotland at Halloween, but immigrants to North America used the native pumpkin, which are both readily available and much larger – making them easier to carve than turnips. Another specific symbol is of course costuming and going trick-or-treating. All children receive fruits and candy (as far as I know). The most desired costumes include monsters, skeletons, witches and ghosts.
I have no idea in what i would dress up, but I bet it would be fun!

Kronstadt Classic Rally

On October 8 the Kronstadt Classic Rally event took place here in Brasov. And it was amazing to see all these amazing cars live not in pictures. My all time favorite car is....the incredible Ford Mustang! From all of the models I especially love the 1967 and 1969 models. They look absolutely amazing!
Of course Gabe and I went to the event. We both love cars!Too bad it was a rainy day...but I had my pretty rainbow umbrella with me!
Here are a few pictures we took that day:
