My cooking and baking adventures Apple Pie

Apple Pie-recipe
I really love baking and cooking(even though I haven't baked or cooked that much) but I love food! All these flavors drive me insane!
For this Apple pie I'll share my mom's recipe. You need:
2 eggs
200gr. margarine
50gr. butter(or lard)
10gr. baking powder
1 tea cup milk
about 4 spoons of sugar
all-purpose flour (until it doesn't stick to you hand anymore-about 500gr.)
  For the filling you need:
1kg of apples(any kind you like, red, green or golden apples)
100gr sugar (it depends on how sweet you want the filling to be)
and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

First you should start with the filling. All apples should be grated and the size I use is that shown in picture no.4. After you've grated the apples add the sugar and the cinnamon. For any other flavors you can add lemon juice, rum or anything you like.

For the dough start with the margarine(which has to stay for at least 30 min at room temperature). Put it in a bowl and use a fork or your hands (never be afraid of using your hands to mix something) add the sugar and butter and mix until all three components are well mixed. After that, add the baking powder and the milk. Mix them and then add the eggs. Start adding the flour and make sure to mix everything well. After the dough is ready(when it's not sticky anymore and has a medium consistency) divided it in two equal parts. Roll the dough until you have the desired size for your pan and then place it in the pan. Now you can add the apples and the second part of the dough.
Place in the oven at a minimum temperature for about 30-40 minutes. You can check if the dough is well baked using a tooth pick. Just poke the pie and if the dough is not sticking to the pick then it's done! You can use powdered sugar on the top crust for a better look and taste.

My cooking and baking adventures- Greek Pita

Yesterday, Gabe and I, decided to make some Greek pita and some falafel (of course we bought the mixture from the store and we only had to add some water).
The pita was our first attempt so it didn't turn out how they were supposed to but they were still very delicious!!!
I found the greatest website for Mediterranean Food called DedeMed- Mediterranean Cooking. Here I found a great Pita bread recipe which is quite simple. You can find the recipe here.

And here are some pictures from our kitchen:

And of course we started eating and cleaning so we forgot to take some pictures of how the pita looked after we baked it...Do you find them delicious? Let me know after you try them!

Tomorrow I'll continue with the apple pie recipe I made today!yummy!
Have a delicious day!
